A clearer way to resolve a roofing dispute.
Whether the roofer is a RANZ member or not, this page tells you exactly what we can do, what it costs, and where to go next.
In plain English
- An independent, insured roofing inspector decides the technical question — not RANZ.
- The party found at fault pays the inspector — that can be the complainant if the inspector finds the dispute is without substance. No fees are paid to RANZ.
- If the roofer isn’t a RANZ member, we’ll still help you take it to the LBP Board.

We run the process end-to-end: preliminary review, independent inspector, hearing, and enforcement under the RANZ Code of Conduct.

We can’t run a dispute — but we can help
RANZ has no authority over non-members. We can either help you lodge a complaint with the LBP Board, or record it on file for industry oversight.
